How did it help you with codes and conventions?
It helped because each of these pictures I chose all have questions to it and the public would think what it actually looks like it relates to and try and figure the codes and conventions out. It also relates to the codes and conventions because the enigma code shows in the third picture for example whose hand is it? and leaves many different questions that the public want to know and the binary opposition is this person or creature good or bad? All these pictures give more of a plan or what the genre is and you can tell straight away with how dark it is and creepy it looks.

The Horror genre - it shows because it shows the darkness in the pictures and the creepy blurred mysterious photos on the mood board.

American Psycho
This film fits in with the genre because the movie is about a man who turns into a Psycho and doesn't care who he hurts even his own friends he likes the thought of killing people and won't stop. This tells us that he needs to be stopped before things are too late and get out of hand also in the cover of the film it shows that he has a knife and the name of the film kind of gives it away that he is the American psycho.
• Tag line - Killer looks - this shows that he is very vein and you can see him reflecting of the knife as if he is looking at himself whilst he kills loads of people.
•Colours - Red black white
• Typography style - The font is Big and bold in capitals the colour is also white.
• A main image - The man in the clean neat suit with him holding the knife which also shows that the amount of people he kills he is probably going to ruin his suit.

The genre is Horror and it's about a man who turns into a psycho and kills innocent people.

This film is about a clown who stays hidden in the sewerage and killed a little kid more and more cases happened and a group of teenagers had to find a way to stop the clown from killing more innocent people this again fits with the horror genre and strange things keep happening during the film.

Escape Room
This film is about a game that people have to play otherwise they die and they have to solve the puzzles to get through each stage and find the clues or it can lead to a painful death.

•Colours - Black grey
• Typography style - Big bold font in white
• A main image - The girl with puzzles on her face - this shows that there is some type of game they all have to play and there is a massive clue on the cover.

• Filters - photoshop filter - with the puzzles on her face and they also look like jigsaw pieces and at the bottom of the mouth you can see a bit of the skeleton on her face.

Horror genre- It is about a group of people who get dragged into this game and have to play otherwise they die and each stage they have to look around and find the clues.
